Introduction to Qi Gong
Qi Gong (pronounced "chee-gong") is a centuries-old Traditional Chinese Medicine practice that combines gentle movement, breath awareness, mindfulness, and focused attention to cultivate balance and well-being. It is accessible to all ages and fitness levels because the movements can be performed standing or sitting and they flow only to the natural limits of flexibility, not beyond.
Modern research suggests that practices such as Qi Gong can reduce stress, improve emotional regulation, and support overall health.

Why I Integrate Qi Gong Into Therapy
Many clients understand their challenges intellectually but continue to experience anxiety, hypervigilance, tension, exhaustion, or emotional overwhelm. This is often because stress and trauma affect the nervous system as well as thoughts and emotions. The mind and body learn in different ways, and at different paces. Qi Gong is an approach that brings them together to create a calm, balanced energy.
Qi Gong offers practical ways to engage the body in the healing process. By combining psychotherapy with nervous-system regulation skills, clients often experience a greater sense of calm, resilience, and connection to themselves.
